Do you feel like you get judged, because you are a SAHM on welfare?

I do. Why don't people just mind their own business?

  • Because people judge each other. It's just what we do. It's actually a very valuable skill to have and it keeps us alive. And people are also nosy - tell me you've never looked into a window as you passed, or gawked at a traffic accident. You have the option, as the recipient of nosiness and judgement, to filter it, take what valuable feedback might be there, and let the rest of the junk just roll. We all get unfairly judged for one reason or another. That's just life.

  • I feel that way sometimes but, we couldn't afford for me to work. If I worked a normal day job we'd be paying $1300 a month in child care. If I worked nights most of the time I wouldn't make it home in time for DH to leave for work. Either way it wasn't worth it to miss so much time from the kids. Honestly, who ever gives a rats @$$ about how you make it obviously is just to high on their own horse to realize that it's your decision anyway!

  • I'm not a troll! A SAHM is a stay at home mom.
