  • my son says the same thing. hes still trying to potty train and i found that every time he says his pee pee hurts is when hes got to go potty. it may be a sign that she needs to go.

  • it could be the way she is wiping herself. it could also be that she may be having a reaction to the material of the panties she is wearing. check her for a rash or any out of the ordinary redness that may be around her private areas. if she continues complaining, always rely on the doctor and have her checked

  • Little girls can get irritations from touching down there, it seems like it happens right around potty training because they have become very aware of what goes on down there. I started giving her and extra bath that seems to help. If she keeps complaining take her to the doctor she might have a UTI. It happens.

  • A UTI is probably the most likely, just incase contact her doctor and have her checked.

  • she could have vulvitis, little girls can get their vulva inflammed by an allergic reaction to soaps or fabrics. Or not cleaned properly.

  • my daughter got a UTI shortly after potty training, and the doctor said it fairly common with little girls who are potty training, if it doesn't really look irritated or there's no discharge and if the extra bath doesn't help then definately talk to your doctor, and to many baths or bubble baths can also help contribute to a UTI. They'll probably just ask for a urine specimen and test it, and if she has a UTI they'll put her on an oral antibiotic and probably ask for you to bring her in when she's done with the medicine so they can make sure all the infection is gone, because if they don't get it all then it can come back worse than the first time and sometimes they're body can build a resistance to the medicine. Good luck.

  • My daughters are 4 and 5 and they both have the same problem. there problem is there still learning how to wipe throughly so they tend to complain of pain also a little redness appears. i bathe them the apply some overnight destin and its better and not red anymore by morning. hope this helps a little.
