Has anyone ever bled after sex?

I am 30 weeks pregnant. Last night my fiance and I had sex for first time in a week or so, everything seemed fine but when finished I was bleeding (red blood). I went to bathroom and it wasnt alot and that was it. I can still feel the baby moving as it did before. Has this ever happened to anyone?

  • Yes. Everything down there is swollen and extra sensitive from being pregnant, so it's not uncommon to bleed like that after sex or after a pelvic exam. I think it still warrants a call to the doctor, though. But chances are it was nothing and you're fine.

  • I didnt have any pain-and it was not rough by any means, but we had not done it in quite a while, but the sight of blood freaked me out. I could barely sleep last night, but felt baby kicking away as usual.

  • This just happened to my sister in law who is 17 weeks pregnant she went to the doctor and doctor said it was normal. Go see your doctor to make sure. Try not to worry, I bled throughout both preganancies and I have two healthy boys. Good Luck!!
