Breast feeding after breast reduction

Has anyone ever had experience with breast feeding after breast reduction surgery? I need to have this surgery for my health but I'm more committed to breast feeding my future children. I was going to wait until after I'm finished having children except my back is getting worse by the day. I was told by my DR that I would have a 50/50 chance of successful breast feeding. Just looking for other experiences with success.

  • I havent had one done, but I think if you talk to the surgeon who will perform the surgery that you want to breastfeed they will be able to talk to you & try to do the best they can to not damage the milk glands. Wishing You the best of luck! :)
