? About babies heart beat

Sister had a ultrasound done today but it was just by an RN. The heart beat went from 153 to 60 back to 155. Has this ever happened to anyone? The RN didn't know she just told her to call her doctor. She did call her doctor but she hasn't called back

  • I know the heart rate has jumped from the 150s to the 40s when she (my baby girl) curls up in a ball, or starts running from the monitor. It's not that her heart rate is dropped - it's that the monitor couldn't pick up a clear reading.

If they didn't rush to do an ultrasound, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

  • We're having twins, and the little boy is a wiggle worm. His heart rate did that (or so we thought) turns out the little goober just moves to much to get a decent read on his heart rate. Even had issue with the doppler (and you could still hear is little butt moving.) It took the US tech almost 35 minutes to get a decent anatomy pic of his heart because everytime she'd zoom in he'd move, or kathryne would arch her back and push him out of the way.

  • Also, mine like to curl into little balls and that also makes the rate look like it stops/slows. Babies can be such goobers!!!
