  • There is a group here on Cafemom called "Adoption Search Resource list" on Soundex and  If you have a name google "search angels" in your state and ask for help. Adoptees and their Birth Families are reuniting in droves. Don't give up and best of luck to all of you. Also I run a reunion group here if you'd like to start preparing yourself for what to expect when you do find your lost relative.

  • Oh......and no matter what part of the triad you happen to be, most states will release non-identifying information to adult adoptees, birth parents, and adoptive parents upon request. This will provide things such as First names, year of birth, family ethnic make-ups, occupations, marital status, etc.

You would be surprised what a year of birth and first name can do when you have that BEFORE you get the search angels on your case.

  • Check out how many questions there are on reunion. Maybe we should have cafemom start an adoption reunion answers section.
