Will I have symptoms by now if I am pregnant and will a pregnancy test detect it if I take one now?

Idk if it's my mind playing tricks on me. My dh and I had sex about 3 weeks ago...a week after my period. My period is a day or two late, but then again I'm pretty irregular. My questions are these: How long can you wait from conception to find out if you're pregnant or not? I do have a test but I want to make sure I don't use it too early. I'm trying to compare this symptom from my previous pregnancy, but the only problem with that is I didn't find out I was pregnant until about 2 months later. Do you think if I take the test now, it will be accurate, or should I wait another week?

  • Probably not accurate right now. Wait about 5 more then your period should come anyway if youre not pregnant.

  • I think it would show up by now. Just make sure you use the midstream of your urine.

  • I took a test exactly 2 weeks after the day that I had sex with my husband and I was pregnant with our daughter.
