What is there to do in Dallas?

We will be visiting Dallas this weekend and are wondering what to do with our toddler while in town? Any activities or places that you suggest? We have Six Flags season passes, so we may check out the kids section one afternoon, but we need more activities to fill the rest of the time.

  • Six Flags, Dallas Aquarium, Dallas or Fort Worth Arboretum, Fort Worth Zoo (supposed to be better than Dallas Zoo), The Science Place (interactive museum for kids) ...I LIVE in Dallas and thats all I can think of. There isn't that much to do to me.

  • From D Magazine:
●GREENVILLE AVENUE PARADE, MARCH 14,11 a.m. Last year this reputedly raucous parade drew 700 participants and about 40,000 spectators to the streets. (One year it also attracted a DPD Riot Squad.) Floats start moving at Blackwell and Greenville and proceed south to Yale Boulevard.
●DOWNTOWN DALLAS PARADE, MARCH 15 Around noon, an Irish Festival kicks off this parade at Pegasus Plaza. The parade starts at 2 p.m. at Harwood and Main streets and runs to the West End with a post-parade party at Dick's Last Resort.

  • There's a cool playhouse thing, and Dallas Blooms at the Dallas Arboretum which is on the shore of White Rock Lake. It's fun to go down the the docks with the kids and look at sailboats and feed ducks.

Northpark Mall has great stores for kids, a neat interactive library area, courtyard and movie theatre.

The Farmers Market has great interactive things for kids on weekends if your're into that sort of thing.
