My breasts are engorged

and I needed some relief because all my bras were too tiny and making lines all over my skin because they were so tight so we just bought a new bra that fits. Should I have waited until later? Will my boobs go down in size any time soon?

  • Yes they will go down. It depends on whether or not you are breasfeeding that determines when they will go down. If you are BFing, engorgement will be gone within 2 days.

  • Buying one bra isn't too bad. I just wore a sports bra during that time and now still wear it to bed. There is a chance that your boobs will stay permanently bigger (not engorged, just bigger) and you will need a bigger size.

  • Target sells ice packs that can reduce a little swelling.

  • your baby is a few days old. wait a few weeks for your milk supply to regulate. by then you may have a guess at what to buy.
