What am I doing wrong?

I am looking for a child care provider. I have tried several. But obviously they just aren't working out. I can't afford a daycare center, but every in home child care provider i have taken him to just hasn't worked out. I have checked refrences, back ground checks have been done and still aweful things keep happening ! HELP ME PLEASE

  • how are you finding them? contact your state that has a list of providers with license's, then maybe try to interview ones with their own chidren same age group. then it would be playdate plus you could observe their childrens behavior. Or if its just an afterschool thing, maybe look to some stay at home moms from your childs classroom. his teacher could maybe help you with names???? Good luck, I know its so hard to trust people..people are crazy!!!

  • I agree with above. We got ours from a local church. We called the church offices and asked if they knew of anyone at their church that provided in home day care.

  • in IL there is something called action for children if you qualify they help pay daycare costs whether the child attends a daycare, or a family member watches him. maybe there is something like that where you are check out the internet.
