how could i do my hair in multiple colors, while still keeping them seperate? (asked in other category)

i am going to try to do my hair in multiple colors, and keep each one separate and vibrant! but i have no idea how to do that! each time we have tried, the colors ran together and looked all mottled and yucky :( any ideas?? HELP!!

  • foil and Vaseline... the vaseline should form a barrier on the pieces you dont want dyed in case the foil leaks... And do one color at a time!

  • i like the first link you have listed...

    i would white out the hair completely with a really really light blonde. I would use foil, and do one color at a time. i would also use a q-tip and apply a layer of vaseline or just generic petroleum jelly between each section to keep them from running into your roots, which for a couple days you'd probably want to sleep in a shower cap because you can't shampoo, but I can't imagine anything else that would keep the colors from bleeding....

    one at a time and vaseline... yep. that's my solution.. let me know what you end up doing and how it turns out!!!
