What's a good teenage birthday theme?

My step-daughter is turning 13!! She does not like those Disney show themes (ex. High school Musical). She's very mature for her age, but we're not encouraging a "mature" environment. If you know what I mean, mature about some things is good.. about other things... is bad. So how can we get her to have fun as a kid at her party without feeling like we're treating her like a little kid? Cake Ideas? Theme Ideas?

  • I forgot to mention, we are tight on money.. she did want a disco theme.. but it seems the supplies are going to cost too much. So like a color theme would be easy.. everyone wear the same color. She likes green.. Green Napkinds, Green, Plates, Green Cups, Green Table Cloths, Green Plasticware

  • How about a beach party theme or Hawaiian. Fiesta theme. Music/rock n roll theme with record and music note decorations. Fashion show theme with a cat walk, strobe lights, have the kids pose for "headshots". That's all I got.
