  • Yes, its fine. Tampons aren't big enough to tear hymens.

  • A virgin is someone who has never had sexual intercourse. You cannot lose your virginity to a tampon.

  • Uh yea of course she is. Losing virginty has to do with SEXUAL INTERCOURSE, not the hymen

  • Alot of girls these days break their hymen at an early age due to riding a bike, riding a horse, a see-saw, things like that. A tampon will be okay, lack of sex defines virginity, not a tampon.

  • virâ‹…gin  [vur-jin]
–noun 1. a person who has never had sexual intercourse.
    2. an unmarried girl or woman.
    3. Ecclesiastical. an unmarried, religious woman, esp. a saint.
    4. the Virgin, Mary, the mother of Christ.
    5. Informal. any person who is uninitiated, uninformed, or the like: He's still a virgin as far as hard work is concerned.
    6. a female animal that has never copulated.
    7. an unfertilized insect.

Being a virgin has nothing to do with insertion of a tampon. If you put a penis in the vagina you are no longer a virgin, lol.

  • the hymen has nothing to do with virginity

  • The breaking of the Hyman does not determine your virginity either. Many young women do not have an in-tact Hyman and have never had sexual intercourse. Activities such as swimming, bike riding and horseback riding have been known to cause the Hyman to tear and/or break.

A tampon does not go in deep enough to break the Hyman. Virginity refers to sexual intercourse only. It's not necessarily the specific act of something entering into the vagina as it is the act of sex WHILE something is entering into the vagina.

I wore tampons as a teen. Teen periods can be really wonky and really heavy at times. Pads were just bulky and led to embarrassing leaks. Teach her proper hygene with it (you can get very sick if you're not careful) and she'll be fine.
