  • What are your laws in your State as to school attendance. He must attend or you, as parents, are held responsible. At least that is what we have here in Wisconsin. Check with your school and see if they are able to do something to help you with his attendance or even going to an alternative high school. As to his being disrespectful, we have the same thing with our 16 year son and it drives us crazy. We're hoping that is a phase and something that he'll grow out of. But in the meantime, we control what we can and discipline when we can't.
