  • That depends on a lot of variables. Which cruise line, what kind of cabin and where it is located on the ship, how many days etc. Then you have to figure in airfare or are you driving, spending extra days at the departure port, if you take any excursions or buy any extras. For example we just booked a 5 day cruise for $1,100.00 for two. We have a cabin on an upper deck which cost more and in a great location. If we had wanted an interior cabin on a lower deck we could have spent a lot less. We are driving in the day of the cruise, parking will be $35.00. We will go on one excursion which will be about $150.00 for both of us. We may buy a picture or two, drinks, bingo, and the casino which usually adds up to about $300.00. I find it is much cheaper then any of our land vacations.

  • My husband uses $100 per day per person as a guideline for a good deal. That may not include port charges and taxes. Don't forget that you will have to pay for your drinks, shore excursions, photos and tip the room steward, waiter, assistant waiter and the maitre de (if you are inclined). FYI - some cruise lines have food 24/7 others do but you have to pay for the privilege. Some require payment for their more upscale restaurants.  Some allow the purchase of a soda card for the duration which is much cheaper than paying per glass. Some allow you to bring alcohol on discreetly, others will confiscate until the end of the cruise.

It is definately cheaper than an all inclusive land vacation.

  • It depends on when you go and what type of Cabin. we get adjoining insides for DH and our 2 teen age girls, that way they get their own bathroom , which is a luxury! anything under 100$ a day PP is a BONUS!!! I have seen some for a low as 35$ PP!!!
