When is the baby ready to come out?

I'm a curious person so at the risk of sounding stupid and misunderstood >>>>

What tells your baby/body that it's ready to have the baby? Is it lack of room? Does your body send a siginal? Just wondering what makes that determining factor. Some people have a baby 1-3 weeks early and some go farther than their 40 weeks. I was just wondering if there was an actual reason as to when they decide to come.

  • There are chemicals that signal to your body that it is time to go into labor. As to babies born sooner other things can set you into labor early, like health problems etc. A womans body actually has a chemical it can produce to hold off labor if them mother is stressed or not feeling safe to give birth. Actually this is a very good and interesting question.

  • A lot of things play a role in deciding when its 'time', and nobody has quite figured out what exactly causes your body to decide. Most scientists think its a combination of your and the baby's hormones that kicks everything into gear.

....but, like I said, nobody can really say for sure what exactly is that determining factor.
