how do i get the mildew scent out of my comforter?

i washed my blanket and it was slighty damp in the dryer and now it has a hind of mildew smell. Any ideas how to get the smell out? Thanks

  • You can re dry it with extra fabric sheets in with it...or re-wash with a little vinger in the wash water and dry for a longer setting to assure it drys thru and thru...

  • Have it dry cleaned.

  • You may need to rewash it a few times. Don't just febreeze it or stick it in with dryer sheets. That smell indicates that mildew started growing in you blanket.

  • if its white, soak it in a little bleach. if its colored, soak it in oxy clean or biz then wash.

  • Rewash with a half cup of vinegar. it will kill the mildew and have no bad after smell. Then redry, on a longer cycle
