Anyone Ever Use Goldenseal?

So has anyone ever used goldenseal to get labor going? I'm 39 weeks and 3cm.

Please no "omg don't do that Because is can do this" answers.

I'm just looking for someone who has actually tried it. Or knows someone who has.

  • You ARE doing your research, right? ... I mean, I use goldenseal, but I use it as an antibacterial for illness, or the tea to kill pink-eye, or to kill a flu-bug that's causing nausea.

So, best wishes, but do consider letting your baby indicate when he/she is actually finished getting ready for breathing and everything on their own ... from what I understand, 42 weeks is when a baby starts to be late. ...

  • goldenseal is not for use while pregnant. It's an herb that boosts your immune system. it will NOT jump start labor and is contraindicated for use during pregnancy.. if you had actually done research, you would have seen that this was the case.

  • actually its listed as one of the herbs used to induce labor by midwives. Along with Blue and Black Cohosh, false unicorn root, and many others.. which are also contraindicated for use during pregnancy,

I have been doing my research so thanks for trying to make yourself look smart.
