  • He put it "out there" and the people voted YES with applause. He encouraged ideas. Rather than mandating, he was sincere and diplomatic, imo. I applaud him and his company.

  • It sounds wonderful to me. He put forth the idea. He didn't just start it up. Everyone (judging form the article) Seem very up with the idea. It seems very fair. Especially to those who work hard. And truly deserve it.

  • And it isn't socialistic, because they had the option to agree to taking a pay cut or begin letting people go. If they didn't like the idea~they can look for another job. It's still a free market. It's socialistic when one (ie: government) takes from another WITHOUT any other options out there.

  • The American people voted on it too. and they voted that they agree with President Obama, at least the majority that voted for him. I'm sure not EVERY single person that worked in that hospital agreed, but MOST did......

It's LOGICAL, to PROTECT the group, ALL must participate..a democracy means a vote, NOT everyone will get what they want ....

This man is an example to follow!

  • If they received a letter that the government was taking over business and everyone was mandated to take a pay cut and the orderly would be making the same That would be socialistic.

And yes, a slight majority of people voted for Obama's Socialistic style Change. That doesn't mean those of us who didn't vote for it should accept it. It's still the United States of America. We are still free to speak. :o)

  • grlygrlz...I know your still free to speak and even think! go figure! LOL
What I'm saying is maybe it needs to be looked at in a different perspective ,considering the lobal crisis we are all living through. Our nation has always pulled together in times of crisis to pull ourselves and each other up...It seems that some would rather tear us apart by claiming SOCIALISM and tea bags and secession...How does that help?

Ronald Reagan said the same stuff about MEDICAID in the late 70's. He went on a tear about how it would be the end of a time when we were free...MEDICAID! sometimes we need to step back and take another look

No. They have the choice to quit. You can't quit your government.

  • OMG! I am so confused- when its a story like this all the Republicans are all "Oh how great! I think its a wonderful story". But when Obama has the idea to do something similar then its "what a SOCIALIST!!" Gosh! Make up your minds already!
