Make-up tips

Anyone have any make-up tips you'd like to share??
I'll go first Curl your lashes with a eyelash curler
Take a macara wand thats free of mascara and brush out your lash then apply a thin layer of powder (any type) with the wand. The apply your mascara as usual then apply another thin layer of powder and another layer of macara for longer thicker lashes! It really works my mom just showed me, you might also want to rebrush it with the mascara free wand to polish it up

  • How to make lipstick last all day long:

Grab one square of 2-ply toilet paper and seperate it into two seperate sheets.
Apply your lipstick. Cover your lips with one of the sheets of tp. Use a powder puff and lighty tap your covered mouth with loose powder. Remove the sheet and apply a little more lipstick. The powder will get through the sheet to "set" your color, and the "top coat" of lipstick will keep your lips moisturized.

  • To make your eyes "pop":

Apply a neutral shimmer of color along the brow bone and inside corner of your eyes. It will make your eyes appear more youthful and brighter.

  • Never pluck from the top of your shaped eyebrows - always pluck the hairs from under it.

Use Preparation H for puffy eyes.

Never, never, never use a magnifying mirror for tweezing. You'll always end up plucking too much.

  • Smudge proof your mascara-- after applying your favorite mascara, wait for it to dry, then add a layer of clear mascara. It won't work for 24 hours, but it'll last for 10-12.

For a natural "glow"-- put foundation on (if you use it), then blush along your cheek bone (tilt face down to see outline of cheekbones). Then blend with a light layer of translucent powder. It won't make the blush so obvious.

  • Have three shades of foundation handy. One that is a little light, one that is a little dark, and one that is just the right shade.

Apply the just right shade all over your face. Use the light and the dark for shadowing. Apply the darker shade around the edges of your face from your temple up over your forehead and to the next temple. Apply the lighter shade where the sun would hit you: on your cheek bones, your nose, you chin. Make sure you blend blend blend for a natural look!

the result should be a well defined but natural look.

  • To prevent lipstick from getting on your teeth. After putting on your lipstick, pop your finger into your mouth, pucker up and pull the finger out. You'll see the lipstick on your finger and you won't get any on your teeth!
