does anyone know of a mens support group for wives with PPD?

  • Tell her that even with the stretch marks, you still desire her. That even though she's not out there bringing home the bacon, she's still doing something amazing and it's not the end of the world. She probably knows she can't go back to being who she was but she's more than what she realizes. She needs to hear it from you. You know you have to be her support and right hand man when she can't handle the baby crying. This is your opportunity to be part of baby's life and figure out as well, how to be gentle. Share in interests of your wife and ask to show you how to hold the baby, etc. Then when you get the hang of it, offer her to take a stroll so she can clear her mind..she'll feel better. Have her remember to eat and help her find time to sleep. Other than that, I don't know..take it from someone who's been there.
