  • I have never under stood why people name there child a first name& middle name..Then call them by there middle name. Why not just switch the names if you like the middle name better...

  • sometimes I think it is a family name for the first - they decide to use it, but like the middlename bettr (and then don't get confused like if the kid and the dad have the same first name)

and I knew someone that called their child by their middle name . They liked how the name sundedbetter inthat order. His name was Graham Cole and they liked Cole better, but didn't like the way 'Cole Graham" sounded so they named him Graham Cole and alled him Coole.

  • My cousin's name is Chauncey Tyler but we call him Ty. I really like the name Chauncey but I wouldn't want it as a first name I don't think.

  • I do not use my children's middle name as their name but I do call my son, Nicholas, by a nickname of Nico (pronounced NECO). I do not like Nick as a nickname.

  • I do...My oldest son's name is Ian Frost. I call him, Frost or Frosty ALL the time. It's actually HARD for me to call him or hear him called Ian because I'm just so used to Frost.....EXCEPT when he's in trouble...Then IAN FROST comes out JUST FINE! LOL...funny how that works out!!!!
