Taxing healthcare?

So, Obama is considering taxing the income that you pay for healthcare through your employer. This will impact middle income families the most. I thought he was the leader of the 'party of the people'. What people is he representing? More empty rhetoric from the people's president.
My question, how do you feel about Obama taxting healthcare? And wasn't this something that he accused McCain of proposing during the campaign? And if so, isn't this a bit of hypocrisy?

  • The impact this will have on families is beyond the reasoning for it. All the talk about being for the middle class seems to be just that. Talk. Those of us that were aware of all the smooth talk were continually bashed and called racist. Now, some of these very same people are getting the stars out of their eyes and having to deal with reality and it bites. We are stuck with President Obama for the next 4 years and our worlds will not be the same when he is gone. When the time to elect a new president I hope those that are unhappy will remember why and vote for the candidate that is better suited for the job then because it will make history. Although, it is true that we are making history!!!!

  • That was one of the reasons why I voted for Obama. I think taxing health care is ridiculousand was furious with McCain for even thinking of an idea. You have got to be kidding me!!

I Googled this and these are just two of the links that came up. He's still in the "may do it" stage, but other gov't leaders support the idea. With Obama's recent history since he's been in office, there is a very good probability this will happen.

  • So, again I ask the question.....are those who voted for Obama starting to see how they were duped?

Many of us tried to warn you...but were told we were racist hate mongers. Well, if calling someone out for repeatedly being caught in LIES makes me a racist...then color me pink with purple polka dots!
