Why are they so popular?

My 13 year old niece is a "super fan" of Madonna. Do you have something to say about a teen who has an IDOL from a different generation?

  • When I was a teen I idolized Marilyn Monroe. There is nothing wrong with it. At least she is idolizing a strong successful woman.

  • My 14 year old loves a lot of classic rock bands, like Led Zepplin,Ac/Dc. When I was a teenager,I liked bands that were before my time as well.

  • Madonna? Maybe she means the madonna (jesus' mom). That would be a better role model. Madonna? The one who took the bottle and well we won't go there

  • The 80's ARE BACK! My sons all time favorite band is AC/DC. Alot of his friends also like the older music. I have taken him to 2 Motley Crue concerts and there were so many 30/40 somethings with their teen/early 20 kids it is amazing!
