What is the deal with Blackberries and Presidents?

I was watching CNN this morning and they were talking to former VP Cheney and they asked him what it's like to have a blackberry phone and a car that talks, as if he couldn't have it while in office? Can they not have these phones while in office? Then I see Barrack in the StarPeople magazine playing video games on his Blackberry and saying hands off he's not turning it over to anyone.

Anybody know what the deal is with Blackberry phones?

  • Actually to the poster above, that's not true. He was given a new phone that is secure and can only email and call members of his cabnet and his close family.
