  • umm. i dont think its normal. maybe if he was 19 days old. not 19 months. you should try weaning him off.

  • what do you mean all the time?i think its completely normal!i really believe it is.19 months is still fine to be nursing.and if hes nursing all the time,.its probably not out of hunger,.half the time its probably because he wants one on one time with you.but its fine.i wouldnt worry ..let him self wean.

  • Look back at them funny. He's normal...they're rude.

No no no. The World Health Organization says not to wean until AT LEAST age two.

To the OP...let him nurse as long as you and he are comfortable with it.

  • yes, totally normal. my son nursed often at that age. as long as you're comfortable then let him. I found at that age he wanted to nurse for just a minute or two but often...i called this "boredom nursing" and it got a little irritating to have him constantly wanting to nurse so i did begin to tell him no occasionally. Also, unless it was nap time i began telling him "no" when we were in public just to avoid the two minute nursing. He learned to wait until we were home. We do still nurse in public occasionally but when he comes off the first time that's the end. Now he's 26 months and still nurses at least 3 times a day (morning, nap and before bed) and sometimes a time or two more.
