We will be flying in may and my dd will only be 4 1/2 mnths old.

It should only have like 2 layovers very short ones too.. anything I should know?

  • We flew with our son at that exact age. He was pretty good. Hopefully your plane won't be full and they'll be able to put you next to an empty seat so you can lay her down for sleeps. Gate check your stroller...you do NOT want to lug child and carry on through the airport without it! Don't take your whole diaper bag to the plane washroom...nowhere to put it! Ask for aisle seat in case you have to stand and bounce, rock, etc. Bring QUIET new toys to keep her interested. You don't need half of what you think you will (but you'll likely bring it all anyways for peace of mind!). Check airline restrictions on what you can fly with carefully. Some don't apply to babies but some do.

  • all of the above and try to nurse or give a bottle at take off and decent. This will help pop the ears. gl

  • Make sure you have already listed your infant on your ticket (call the airline) and bring a copy of her birth certificate.
