Longer naps?

My son takes about four or give 45 minute naps during the day. He wakes up and gets tired an hour and a half after waking (yes, you can almost set your clock to his schedule!). He is almost 6 months old and is post-colic with GERD. He does take Zantac for the GERD and is on hypoallergenic formula. It would be great if the awake/sleep times were consolidated! He sleeps pretty well at night.

  • When he wakes up try to sooth him while he's in the crib to get him to go back down, and if that doesn't work try getting him out and rocking him. If you can get him to go back to sleep, even just for 10 minutes, it will start the habit of sleeping longer. good luck!

  • This sounds normal for his age.
Those semi-mythical 2 and 3 hour long naps do happen - but they usually happen after 24 months.
