  • lol, whenever they learn not to spill juice on ur floor.
just try regular cups with small amounts of a drink at a time...
when they learn not to turn the whole cup up right away, they're probably readi ;)

  • ok ive been trying to teach my son (2) to drink from a regular cup and he does pretty good somtimes. i even went to walmart and got him the cups with the lid and straw in the baby section and he still gets it everywhere.
but he went to a daycare for a few hours over the weekend and the daycare wont let him have a sippy cup. so i thought that maybe there was an age that he should be off it-like breaking a baby from a bottle at a year old. lol.

  • I Second StarrCookie-
when they have learned not to spill juice on the floor.

When they are ready and don;t want to use sippie cups anymore.
give them oppurtunity with real cups from time to time and just wait for them to be ready to make the switch.

  • It's up to you.
I let mine have an open cup in the tub for play and practice.
She also gets one at meal times at the table.
But for running around and drinking through-out the day... a sippy cup every time. I don't want milk and juice spilled all over the floor.

  • I think that my son was supervised with a little bit of water out of my glass when he was about 18 months old. I mean, not me holding it for him, but him doing it himself. I think he was 2 1/2 before he was on cups all the time.
