Have you had your house reappraised by the tax accessors office?

What is the inspection like do they look at the plumping too?

  • they dont care if you plumbing is having issues or if half of the switches and outlets in your house dont work.
    Your tax accessors office cares if you have finished your basement thus having more finished sq ft. Im friends with an accessor 2 counties away and his hint was to always have a room in the house that has never been finished and could be used for something other than a storage room sitll in the works because then the house will be assessed as unfinished but liveable thus it is at a lower rate. Some places only will deduct that unfinished area others will apply it to the whole house.

    appraisers in general care about how many bedrooms how many baths and if they are full or .5 type of floor coverings and types of counters they dont care about what type of faucets you have you could have expensive grohe faucets everywhere or cheep delta and a faucet is a faucet. Tax appraisers care even less.
