Dental X-rays

I am going to the dentist tomorrow for the first time in 6 years. I have some old dental records from when I was in the Navy, should I bring them along? Or are they obsolete and I should have thrown them away a long time ago? My hubby said he is sure that they will do new ones, which I am sure is true, but is there any benifit into bringing in the old ones?

  • It would not hurt that way if you are having a problem somewhere they might want to compare the x-rays, I was a dental asst. for 15 years and sometimes we did that.

  • It couldn't hurt to bring them. Sure they will do new xrays but like previous poster said, they do like to compare them if they are available.
