  • First and for most your baby will have to stay in the NICU, may have developmental delays and many other things that preemies are at risk for. I know your tired but it is absolutely unacceptable to induce labor this early.

As far ass sex helping?? NO it will not help because your body is NOT ready!

  • do not try to get this baby here early. Yes it could probably survive outside the womb but that is with breathing problems and no telling how long it would be hospitalized. And besides sex only softens things up so when you have contractions it will go faster. And that is in theory. Would you rather spend all day in the nicu with a sick baby. That and this early it probably wouldnt have the sucking reflex so it would be fed with a tube down it's throat. Quit being selfish, pregnancy wont kill you!

  • Your baby has a CHANCE of living outside of the womb. It's likely but not a guarentee. Your baby will require excellant medical care in order to be able to survive. It would be very dificult to breastfeed because while your baby's sucking reflex is already developed his mouth will be very small making it very difficult.

Also your baby's lungs and brain are still developing. Pregnancy last 37-42 weeks for a reason.

  • It's the combination of the man and woman's orgasm that helps to ripen the cervix A man can't just have an orgasm or it won't work. How do I know you ask? My GF who was 12 days over due tried it for a week before she had a c-section on 3/8. The nurse told her!

  • i agree.ive been in the NICU with babies born at 32 weeks or so and they were very tiny..and they were fed through a tube since their mothers breast was too big for them,.and they had breathing difficulties,.they needed warmth.etc,so inducing labor by anything right now would be stupid.pregnancy needs to lat 9 months for a reason.

  • Actually busybee68 that nurse was sorely misinformed.

There is a hormone is seamen that helps to ripen the cervix. Orgasim would just help to ripen the uterus by causing uterine contractions.

Either way it's way to early. You need to think about your baby right now and wait it out.

  • Yay prostoglandins... But like the others said, it is still too early and they wont do diddly squat until your baby and body are ready.

Busybee68, it is true that the female and male orgasms work together but either one on their own work too. The prostoglandins from the semen soften the cervix (as anon 1:02 pointed out) and the contractions of the uterus during the female orgasm can help promote labor contractions as well as the ocytocin (feel good hormone) your body releases which is the natrual form of the pitocin the docs use to induce you with...

Again nothing will work til the baby/your body is ready. DO NOT TRY TO INDUCE THIS EARLY.. It is VERY UNSAFE and SELFISH

  • why do you want to switch doctors? Because they won't induce you? It's only 8 more weeks until 40 weeks...you've lasted this long a few more weeks won't hurt...as for sex really helping move thigns along i don't put too much belief behind that. It may work for some women..but who knows...I feel 32 weeks is too early to deliver unless it is an absolute necessity...think about your baby and it's future...
