What do you think about this?

The Obama administration signalled today that it was ready to repudiate the prohibition and "war on drugs" approach of previous presidents, and steer policy towards prevention and "harm reduction" strategies favoured by Europe.

  • I think it's awesome, the war on drugs is BS and prohibition DOES NOT WORK. Education and rehab for those who want it is a much better approach.

  • Sorry, but at this point, the first thing that comes to mind any time he proposes anything is "how much will it cost" and "how much pork will get added in before it passes"

  • Honestly I don't know what the answer is.I don't think we need to be more lax on those caught doing these things though.Nor do I think rehab will be a mega changer. One has to want to quit for it to work.Alot fail at that.Prevention is good i'd have to see more detail in how the plan to go about this would be.
