can someone explain how foreclosure and a sherriff's auction works

and once your house goes on the auction block how much time do you have left to live in the house.
Say if you get a letter saying your house is up for auction on march 1st but are given an eviction date..what does that mean?

  • The date that it is up for auction is the date that they do just that... auction off your house. If you got an eviction date, then that is the day you have to be out of the property...
