tempature in little ones

so my dr has always told me a rectal temp is more acurate then a ear thermater because they can be way by several degress. I just read a question about how high a babys temp is most moms said to take it rectal and see but one said that wasnt acurate. So now im alittle confused.
whats the best way to take your little ones temp if you think it may be high?
my dr always wants to know what it is rectaly when i call.

  • Rectally. I am not sure where the confusion is if most mommies and your doc are saying rectally

  • Rectal temp is most accurate. Ear thermometers were never accurate for me

  • When my kids were little, I always took their temperature in their armpit.
