  • Niether of my kids did this so I don't have advice from personal experience. However when my mother wanted me to stop chewing my nails she would put cayenne pepper on them. I've heard of parents doing something similar for thumb sucking.

You could also try stopping her. Everytime you see her with her thumb in her mouth pull it out and say, "no" or something. It's what I'm doing to get my 3 yr old to stop picking her nose. It seems to be working.

  • Talk to the child's doctor. They will know some ways to get her to stop.

  • if u want to stop her, duct tape a sock on her hand. Thats the only thing i got to stop my baby girl. And it was recommended by her pedi.
