He works for peanuts
Anyway!

Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.

Tax his ties,
Tax his shirt,
Tax his work,
Tax his dirt.

Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he
Tries to think.

Tax his cigars,
Tax his beers,
If he cries
Tax his tears.

Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
To tax his ass.
Tax all he has

  • Very true words......We are getting taxed so much every single day right now that the majority of the people can't even fathom the figures. Every dawn brings a new round of bills and stimulus that is just outrageous. As an example, lets use the Cap and Trade. If this passes you will get a $600.00 credit on your taxes. But, the problem is that depending on your electric usage, your annual bill will go up about $700.00. President Obama himself says the electric rates will be outrageously high. So what is the purpose of giving you a tax credit but you will pay more anyway? We, the USA, have no money and no nations want to buy our debt now. We are not a good credit risk. So, the alternative is to tax us until ev entually people stop working and the government is handing out bags of sugar and flour and we look like the old countries of yesterday.

STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY? Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, and our nation was the
    most prosperous in the world.

We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middleclass in the
world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.

What in the hell happened? Can you spell 'politicians?'

And I still have to 'press 1' for English!?!?!?!?

  • The problem is that we expect the government to do everything for us and to do it for free.

  • NO ONE supports high taxes and a larger government. UGH. I like the poem. Pay no attention to those among us who insist upon being so divisive. Like THAT'S going to fix the country.

  • Sad part is I think you missed a few on the tax list.

Our government is robbing us, and I have heard many Father's in my day say that they were worth more dead than alive, in frustration for not being able to get ahead; something they'd be able to do given the freedom to govern their own future instead of the government doing it for them.

  • the less government in my life, the happier I'll be. build my roads, my schools, care for my elderly, police my streets and defend my nation - do NOT raise my children, instruct me how to raise my children, feed or provide medical care for my children (duh, that's what my job is for), tell me that smoking is bad for me, force me to wear a seat belt, tell me that going for a beer on friday with dh is bad for me, that trans fat is bad for me, that peanut butter is bad for me.... government needs to understand that I have a working frontal lobe and decisions that affect me are only to be made by me. period.

  • aurorabunny--

But in order to pay for all of the social welfare programs that liberals ARE in favor of, more taxes are needed to fund them, AND bigger government is needed as you need people to manage these social welfare programs!

So, we get rid of a MANY (not all) of these handout programs, and/or put STRICT limits on who and how long someone is entitled to certain programs (you know which ones I'm talking about), and you watch just how quickly SOME of those taxes go away!
