  • We had to get the Bordetella vaccine for my dog when we boarded her at a kennel when we went on vacation. I think that's really the only time you need to do it, is when your dog is around other dogs for and extended time. My dog is only ever around other dogs when we go for a walk and that's just a passing sniff so my vet has always said don't worry about it until we have to board her somewhere. "Boarding" just means "staying" somewhere. :)
