so when he stuck a feather in his cap did he name the feather or the pony macaroni?

  • Yes, I think this must be it. Macaroni's were a class of English, traveled, young gentlemen who afftect foreign ways. Also called a fop, or an affected young man.
    I looked this up and was glad to find that some of the useless information I vaguely remember is true. :)
