Chicken recipe

I made a whole chicken in the crockpot and my dd won't eat it so I am going to freeze half of it after I shred it. What are some of your fav. recipes that use shredded chicken?

  • Here's something different! Hawaiian Haystacks are so good! They can also be called Chicken Sundaes! They look and sound weird, but they are yummy!

    I ALWAYS USE:
    Cooked rice
Cooked chicken, cut into bite size pieces or shredded ( I shred mine)
    Pineapple tidbits
    Chopped green onions
    Diced tomatoes
    Grated Cheddar cheese
    Chow mein noodles
    Shredded Coconut
    Chopped Cashews

Other people I know also use or substitue other things out with:
    Toasted almonds (slivered)
    Chopped green pepper
    Chopped celery
    Sliced water chestnuts

    SIMPLE CHICKEN GRAVY:
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 can water or chicken broth

    OR
I usually make a richer sauce:

2 cans cream of chicken soup
milk to thin it to desired thickenss
    Add sour cream

    * Put chicken into this gravy

  • I am the casserole queen! I mix 8oz of sour cream with 1 can cream of chicken soup, mix in chicken, a little chopped onion (don't have to use onion, my son doesn't like it), salt and pepper. Put in dish, then mix 1 pkg crushed ritz crackers with half a stick of butter and put that on top of chicken mixture. Bake about 30 minutes. I LOVE this!! I am also the queen of run on sentences! HA

  • Easy Chicken Pot Pie

1 6 oz pkg chicken flavored stuffing mix
¼ cup butter, cut in pieces
    1 ½ cups hot water
1 can cream of chicken soup
    1 cup milk
3 cups cut up cooked chicken or turkey
    1 pkg mixed vegetables
    ¼ tsp thyme leaves

Make stuffing using butter and water or whatever the directions call for.

Mix soup and milk in 2 qt casserole. Stir in chicken, vegetables and thyme. Spoon stuffing over. Bake 350 F for 45 minutes until hot and bubbly. 4 servings.
