Please help! is my teenage son acting normal????

He's only 12 and his attitude is changing, everything bothers him and I don't know what to do! Is it because his age?

  • OMG, yes it's because of his age. Middle school is SOOOOO DIFFICULT, his hormones are out of whack, and he is discovering who he is and what the world around him is about. Just love him and hug him and make sure he knows he can talk to you about anything. He probably won't, but let him know anyway.

Also, get him involved in a church youth group or sports or piano lessons or something to occupy himself outside of scholastics. He won't want to spend time with the family as much as he used to, but you will kinda have to force him to do it anyway. It will be difficult to balance giving him alone time and forcing him in to family time because he really does need both.

All in all, this is normal.......and painful. For him and for you.
