Wearing a band to shrink post-partum belly?

Hi - has anyone ever heard of wearing a wrap-around type belly band to help shrink a post-partum belly? I tried this for a few days after my first son but it was too uncomfortable and I stopped. I am wondering if it is really worth trying this time.

  • I wore one after having my DS 2 weeks ago, and am already back into my pre-pregnancy jeans. I found wearing it over a tank top made it more comfortable. My stomach has tightened up more quickly than my after my previous pregnancies.

  • Oh i did this ! and it worked! i wore it for 2 months straight. yes it was uncomfortable , but i think it helped my stomach heal better and didnt make it as 'saggy'

  • Thanks for the tank top idea! By the way - is there a certain brand of belly band you would suggest?
