How long should I bake two beef tenderloin medallions until they are well done, and at what temperature?
*I don't have a meat thermometer*

  • poke them with your finger. the firmer they are the more well done they are (YUCK) If you insist you can always cut a slit in the bottom and look for the juices (if any are left) to be brown and not pink. You should also sear them in a pan and then finish in the oven, don't just bake them. If you like your meat well done you can get away with usingless expensice cuts of meat that have to be braised, like chuck or round. No need to waste good tenderloin.

  • ...I need them well-done b/c that's the way my husband likes them... I hardly see how that is wasting them...
