why is it that all the doctors and the 2 hospitals ive been to told me 36 weeks is full term and others say 37 on here?

  • I think it is actually 39 months. but 36 is deliverable with no complications maybe? idk really.

  • 40 weeks is full term.... 36 weeks is usually considered safe for the baby to come at anytime...

  • i agree with the first poster i mean if you count the way some well most people do then you get 9 months which is 36 weeks but if you count each week as i do and as my drs do the a pregnancy is 10 months menaing the 40 weeks

  • ha found it lol sorry took me a while i knew i had it but see 40 weeks ends 9 months
    The timeline is like this:
    Month 1 = Weeks 1-4
    Month 2 = Weeks 5-8
    Month 3 = Weeks 9-13
    Month 4 = Weeks 14-17
    Month 5 = Weeks 18-21
    Month 6 = Weeks 22-26
    Month 7 = Weeks 27-30
    Month 8 = Weeks 31-35
    Month 9 = Weeks 36-40
