  • My Dh and I are doing the Dave Ramsy course so our budget is not quit right but we pay things in this order
    Food 300
    L rent 190
    Utilities 200
Then if we have money left we pay the credit cards that are due that pay period.

  • I'm very fortunate not to have any credit card debt (and to think, just a few yrs ago, I was mad no one would give me a credit card - no credit!), and I've managed to pare my bills down:

    1200 mortgage
    90-130 electric
    120 phone/tv
150 gas (was around 250 when gas was higher)
60 car ins (but I try to pay this all at once so it's not a monthly bill)
300-400 food (varies depending on if I need to buy dog food that week, and it also includes misc. things like dishwashing detergent, batteries, laundry detergent, etc. that I buy at the same time as the food).

  • We're an odd couple so our bills are odd but here goes.

    $25-Storage rent
    $140 for all phones
    $400 Utilities
    $200 Gas
    $100 Insurance
    $400 Food
    $40 TV

We have no car payments cause we paid cash for the 3 we have and we paid cash for our house so no payments there.

  • $1100 Housing/Utilities
    $505 Truck
    $62 Cell Phone
    $100 Cable/Internet
    $363 Daycare
$550 Car Insurance (Pay every 6 months)
$200-$300 Others (Food, Gas, Entertainment-Netflex, etc)

My husband is in the military. We live on post so they just get our BAH. He is currently deployed so with the extra money and money from taxes we paid off all the bills.

  • I use Excel to track our budget and spending.
If you are interested, there are free sites, especially Microsoft Windows, that offer free lessons on using Excel. Once you learn how to use it and set it up then you'll absolutely love it!
It is a wonderful way to track your spending and household budget.
    Best wishes!
