rear facing carseat in the car middle or behind a seat???

ok so i was wondering is it better to have the carseat in the middle of the back seat or behind a seat????

  • i heard middle but if you have more then one car seat one on each side of the seat

  • middle of the car is safest due to possible side impacts. but my car only has the latch on the sides, so I have to install behind a seat. Plus it's easier to get dd in that way.

  • Better is a relative term...its easier for you and baby if it is behind a seat. It is safer in the middle in the back.

  • In the middle is best... but if it fits better on the side, then where everever you have the best fit

  • Middle is safer, but you can put it anywhere as long as it's put in properly. I think there's a place where you can have your carseat inspected... the fire department or something.

  • Middle is best, but only if there isn't a fold down armrest there.
