Do your Cats Purr?

All of my Cats purr! But A stray Cat that Stays here has 2 Kittens. I'd love to get them homes. But she Doesn't Purr & neither do her Kittens! These are the First in my Life to not Purr! Now mind you they have A Great Life here! They're Loved, Cared for, Great homes, pampered Etc.. No reason not to purr & be Happy! So I'm Curious.. if all of yours purr or Not?

  • Yes, Linda, my cats purr often. My dog Charlie tries to emulate them by purring too. He's so funny. He gets a low growl going and thinks he's purring too.

  • My 17 yr old grandpa cat, Tippy, has always purred very loudly. He sounds like a motorcycle! He must know he is very well-loved

  • Some of my cats purr a lot more then others. (we have 6 inside) One of mine purrs all the time while a couple of mine only purr once in awhile. They all have different personalities and I think purring is part of that. Some are bold and some are shy, some are curious and some are more playful. They all have grown up in the same environment and two are brothers so I think purring is an individual trait.

  • I have a 10 year old cat that has never purred since we got him as a kitten. And we have a six month old kitten that purrs so loud she keeps us up at night. All depends on the individual cat.
