  • Large dogs I would do it every week. I sleep with my dogs so they have to be clean.

  • Well you dont want to over bathe them. Dogs have sensitive skin so bathing them to much isn't good for them. I only bathe mine on a need to basis i.e. fleas, mud, things like that. As shampoo goes just go to your local pet store and ask them what they reccamend for your dog.

  • Golden's have a natral oil in their coat that aids in floating when out in the water. Do not over shampoo. Once a month is fine or earlier if they get dirty. I prefer to use a light moisturizing shampoo such as Hylite EFA. It can be found at most vets and petsmart.

  • I would go with equusvetgal''s answer. I have two short haired dogs and I've gone 3 months without bathing them and they are inside dogs and clean.

  • I bathe my Boxer as needed. Usually every couple of months or if he gets dirty or stinky. I use a hypoallergenic shampoo, oatmeal shampoo is great.

  • Hi - Well, you can give them a bath 1 x per month or 2 x per month. For goldens a good oatmeal doggie shampoo will do the trick. Goldens tend to have dry coats and shedding...
In between baths a product like Miracle Coat / Dry foam shampoo is Wonderful.
    NO water needed...
