How do you teach your baby to sit once they've stood up?

My DD is 9 m/o & is pulling herself up on everything, including her crib. so anytime i put her down for a nap she stands up & gets stuck. is there anyway i can teach her how to sit back down or is this just a phase i have to deal w/?

also, any advice on how to keep her from pulling up in her crib is appreciated!

  • She will figure out how to sit down, you will just have to keep showing her. As for stopping her from pulling up...good luck with that! LOL My son would fall asleep standing up leaning on the side of the crib.

  • Just keep sitting her back down. Shell figure it out soon.

  • She will figure it out on her own. You can't keep her from pulling herself up in her crib, just make sure the crib mattress is down as far as it goes and take out the bumper pads (if you have them in the crib).
