How much soda/drinks do I need?

Having a b-day party for my 2 year old. There will be approx. 38 adults. How do you proportion soda? I want to make sure I have enough. I already got seperate drinks for the children.

  • For my own parties, I usually count on two cans of soda per adult and then lots of extra water.

  • I either assume 2 12 oz cans or one 20 oz bottle per adult, depending on what I got. If I get the 2 or 3 liter bottles, I figure about one liter per two people. So for 38, I would get 19 liters, which would be about 10 2 liters or 6/7 3 liters.

  • For that amount, I usually buy about 4 or 5 12 pks. I also, buy a case or 2 of bottled water. I make sure I have a varitey of soda, regular, diet and caffiene free (ie Sprite). Also, depends on how hot it is out.

  • It's an indoor party 1 1/2 hours this sunday. I have about 8-10 2 liters, plus was going to bring bottled water too.
